Digital punch card
The punch card, without the paper or the hole punch.
Every visit adds a punch on your customer's phone. They save the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet by tapping an NFC tag or scanning a QR code, see how many punches they have, and get a message when they're close to the reward.
How it works
- 1
Set the goal and the reward
For example, 8 punches and the ninth coffee free. Pick the punch icon: a cup, scissors, a paw, a star.
- 2
Your customer taps or scans
With the NFC tag or the QR code at your counter, they open their card and save it to their Wallet. No apps, and no saying their phone number out loud.
- 3
Your staff adds the punch
They confirm it from their phone with their PIN and the punch shows up on your customer's card right away.
- 4
Earn and come back
When the card is full, your staff redeems the reward and the card starts over.
Why digital
- It doesn't get lost: it's in the Wallet, next to their tickets and cards.
- It can't be faked: no stamps to copy, no cards to print.
- They see their progress on screen and get a “1 more to go”.
- You know how many cards are out there, who's close to a reward and who stopped coming.
Messages that bring them back
Unlike a paper punch card, you can talk to them. Tacty sends automatic lock-screen messages: when they're close to the reward, when they haven't been in for a while, or on their birthday.
And whenever you want, send a promotion to everyone or to a single customer.
NFC and QR, always both
Not every phone reads NFC, and not every counter works with a tag (glass, metal). That's why your digital punch card opens both ways: by tapping the NFC tag or scanning the QR code with the camera.
What if punches aren't your thing?
The same card can be points based on what they spend, a fixed member discount or a welcome coupon. You can have several at once and switch without losing your customers' progress.
Frequently asked questions
What is a digital punch card?
It's the “collect 10 punches and get a reward” card, but on the phone: it lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and every confirmed visit adds a punch.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It's saved to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, with no app to download.
How do I stop customers from punching their own card?
Your staff confirms each punch from the Tacty counter with their PIN. Your customer just shows their card.
Do I need to buy a reader or a system?
No. A phone for your staff and your printed QR code are enough. The NFC tag is optional and you get it on your own.
How much does it cost?
You try it free. If you like it, the first month is 50% off and then you pay $29.95 a month, with unlimited customers and messages. No contract.
